Who We Are
The Hub Fins Swim Team is a community-based organization in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, offering competitive swimming opportunities for individuals aged 6 and older. Our team welcomes swimmers of all abilities, from beginners in developmental stages to those competing at the national level. We are proudly affiliated with USA Swimming and the Mississippi Swimming LSC, competing within the Eastern Section of the Southern Zone of USA Swimming.
Our Beginnings
The Hub Fins Swim Team was established in 1961 by a group of dedicated parents, swimmers, and coaches as the first competitive swim club in Mississippi. Operated as a private, non-profit, volunteer-run organization, the team maintained this structure until 2005. From 2005 to 2022, the Hub Fins became a program of The Family YMCA of Southeast Mississippi.
In August 2022, the team returned to its original parent board-driven structure while continuing to offer practices at The Family YMCA of Southeast Mississippi. Today, the Hub Fins Aquatics Club is proud to uphold its longstanding tradition of developing, teaching, and training Pine Belt youth in competitive swimming.
