STATE MEET RECAP: HUB FINS SHINE BRIGHT AT MISSISSIPPI LONG COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS

What a weekend for Hub Fins at the Mississippi Long Course State Championship in Tupelo! With just seven swimmers, our team made waves—literally and figuratively—with a season-ending performance full of heart, hustle, and huge time drops.
Benjamin Butler led the way with six individual State Championships and earned the High Point Award for 11–12 Boys. Zoey Ziegler and Emily Eye each added a State Championship of their own, showcasing the depth of talent and competitive fire in this group.
Altogether, the team earned:
✅ 31 personal best times
✅ 8 State Championships
✅ 12 total podium visits
✅ 31 Top 8 finishes
…ultimately leading the team to an impressive 5th place overall finish!
And the excitement isn’t over! Thanks to their outstanding performances, Benjamin Butler, Owen Butler, and Zoey Ziegler have been selected to represent Mississippi Swimming at the Southern Zone Age Group Championships in Orlando, FL next week!
Meanwhile, Emily Eye will head back to Tupelo for the Southern Zone Senior Championships to compete with the region’s best.
And of course, none of this would be possible without the steady leadership and passionate coaching of Coach Tish. She doesn’t just teach strokes—she inspires growth, resilience, and love for the sport in every athlete. Thank you, coach, for believing in our swimmers and helping them achieve their goals.
Congratulations again, Hub Fins! Your hard work, sportsmanship, and team spirit were truly on full display this weekend!
